Munyanduri rebrands party ahead of 2023 elections

Self-styled politician Tendai Peter Munyanduri says he has rebranded his political party from the National People’s Front (NPF) to New Innovative and Modernisation Front (NIMF).

The move is said to have been necessitated by the need to prevent confusion as there are many political parties using the abbreviation NPF.

According to Munyanduri, the new name also represents the direction and approach that the party is taking going forward.

‘’We as a political party we are going through a period of political change and change is good for any of us. The change is about the rebranding of who we are, we are moving from the NPF going to NIMF.

‘’The reasons why this is happening, somebody might ask why we are making a change. Right now there are three political parties that have the acronym NPF and we are avoiding causing any confusion. We want to stand on our own, we want our name to stand for what we stand for,’’ he said.

NIMF stands for New Innovative and Modernisation Front, this is what represents who we are, and this is what represents the direction we are taking forward. We are looking to innovate, we are looking to modernise, we are looking to reopen the industry, and we are looking to give people jobs.

Munyanduri who contested the 2018 general elections and performed badly indicated that the rebranding is a result of internal consultation and reviews.

‘’This was after consultation with leadership and after so much review that was done to the name. So, it’s important that as we move forward, we understand where we are, and where we are going, so the new name stands for the direction we are taking. ‘’We are here to innovate and modernise. So as NIMF, we are saying we are the NIMF political party,’’ he said.
