Tsenengamu: If I was corrupt, I would have remained in Zanu PF
Front for Economic Emancipation in Zimbabwe (FEEZ) leader Godfrey Tsenengamu says if he was corrupt, he would have remained in Zanu PF.
Tsenengamu, Lewis Matutu and others were expelled from Zanu PF after they held a press conference in which they announce a list of people they claim to be corrupt.
Among the listed people is the controversial businessman Kuda Tagwirei.
After being expelled, Tsenengamu went on to form his own political party.
The party claims to be fronting economic emancipation in the country.
Other people are of the view that since Tsenengamu was in Zanu PF, he is also corrupt.
However, in an interview with Comrade Fatso on The Week, Tsenengamu said if he was corrupt, he would have never left Zanu PF.

He said he was strategically positioned and had access to every door in both the party and the government by virtue of his party position.
‘’If I had wanted to be corrupt, I would have remained in Zanu PF because I was strategically positioned. I was the national political commissar of the Zanu PF Youth League.
‘’I was a member of the central committee, I had all the access to the big offices, the President, the Vice President, and the ministers.
‘’So, if I wanted to be corrupt, I would have remained in Zanu PF and doing that conveniently without going out to start a political party,’’ he said.
Zanu PF reaction confirms Tagwirei is corrupt
According to Tsenengamu, the reaction by the Zanu PF leadership when they listed Kuda Tagwirei as being corrupt, confirms that he is corrupt.
‘’One thing I would want to say is to confirm that Kuda (Tagwirei) is corrupt, you would see the reaction that the Zanu PF leadership came up with after we made an announcement to say Kuda is Corrupt,’’ he said.
Efforts by Tsenengamu and others to report their claims against Kuda Tagwirei to the Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission (ZACC) hit a brick wall as the commission dismissed the allegation.
