Mnangagwa proclaims Gutu West election dates #ElectionsZW
The election for the Gutu West National Assembly representative will be held on the 11th of November 2023.
The election comes as a result of the death of Christopher Mutonhori Rwodzi in a car accident. He was husband to Barbara Rwodzi (now Minister of Tourism and Hospitality Industry.
Mutonhori Rwodzi died before the general election in August 2023, could be held, after he was successfully nominated to contest.
President Emmerson Mnangagwa fixed the 10th of October as the day on which nomination court shall sit at Masvingo Magistrate Court.
Zanu PF was represented by John Paradza and it is not yet clear if he will file his nomination to contest for the seat again.
Citizens Coalition for Change is yet to make its intentions known concerning the seat, as it disputed the results of the general election arguing that the process was not free, fair and credible.
