Moyana Siyapepa an aspiring legislator for Musikavanhu Constituency says he has started implementing various projects to entice people ahead of the 2023 general elections.
Zimbabwe is expected to hold general elections between July and August 2023 to replace the current elected officials.
The 2023 elections promise to be exciting as several opposition political parties have been formed to try their chance of wrestling the mandate from Zanu PF which has been in power since 1980 when the country got its political independence.
In 2018 there were about 20 Presidential candidates, the majority of whom performed badly.
Some of the political parties have promised to try again in 2023 which means the ballot paper could have as many as 30 candidates.
In Musikavanhu, Siyapeya is hopeful that he will snatch the seat owing to various projects that he is doing which include servicing broken boreholes among other things.
‘’My aim once elected as MP is to work for communities in my constituency and I will dedicate myself to service roads and clinics that are dilapidated.
‘’Am not a hungry man,’’ said the businessman-cum politician ‘’My first 100 days in office projects will start appearing in all the marked areas in the constituency
‘’l will work for people, I am their servant and each time after Parliament sittings l will give feedback to the people and do some consultation before going for another sitting,’’ he said.
