#ElectionsZW: Khupe says Mwonzora is trying to get sympathy from Zanu PF
Seasoned female opposition politician Thokozani Khupe has accused Douglas Mwonzora of manufacturing lies in order to get sympathy from Zanu PF.
Mwonzora is one of his press conferences accused Khupe of working with members of the Zanu PF factional group the G40.
G40 had the backing of the late Robert Mugabe and his wife Grace in Zanu PF factional fights.
So strong was G40 that it led to the demotion of Emmerson Mnangagwa from the position of Vice President.
According to the current Zanu PF regime, G40 comprised of Jonathan Moyo, Saviour Kasukuwere, and Patrick Zhuwao among others.
The majority of the faction members escaped from the country during the coup that happened in 2017.
There is a strong belief that some members of the faction are plotting a come and have been courting various opposition parties in the country.
According to Mwonzora, the G40 acting through Jonathan Moyo, have been advising Khupe in MDC-T factional wars.
However, addressing a press conference, Khupe Mwonzora is lying in order to get Zanu PF sympathy because he knows their hatred for G40 members and Nelson Chamisa.
‘’This is Mwonzora’s talk because he is trying to get sympathy from Zanu PF. If he goes there and say Khupe is working with G40, she is working with Chamisa you know what happens, but that is not true.
‘’I am talking about what is happening right now, how can he wake up and say that I am being advised by G40 and the other party? How can he do that?

Meanwhile, Thokozani Khupe who claims to have split from Douglas Mwonzora led MDC-T, said she received a letter of recall from Parliament through FedEx.
Khupe said what the Speaker of the National Assembly Jacob is unprocedural as it was done outside the powers of Parliament which are exercised through the Mace. Parliament is currently adjourned to mid-February.
