Announcing the Hub Unconference headline speakers

The Hub Unconference is Zimbabwe’s leading digital media, civic tech & journalism conference. In light of the Covid19 pandemic, this year’s 9th edition of The Hub UnConference at Shoko Festival will be held virtually with different content formats which include fireside chats, virtual panel discussions, Twitter Spaces talks, Lightning talks and Masterclasses all live streaming on the Shoko Festival and Open Parly ZW Facebook pages.

The conference will be streamed to an online audience of 500 000 young people over 5 days featuring over 30 inspiring speakers and trainers from the USA, UK, Zimbabwe, Nigeria, Zambia, Namibia, South Africa, Uganda and Kenya. Speakers include Hopewell Chin’ono (Investigative Journalists-Zim), Dr Stella Nyanzi (Uganda), Alice McCool (The Guardian/VICE UK), Dumisani Muleya (Newshawks – Zim), Busayo Morakinyo (CODE-Nigeria), Joseph Kalimbwe (UPND – Zambia), Comrade Fatso (Magamba Network – Zim) and Melissa Zisengwe (Civic Tech Innovation Network) among many others. The event will inspire a new generation of content creators while sharing global insights and trends in the digital sphere.
