Bikita South legislator Energy Mutodi has been appointed chairperson of the Parliamentary Committee on Justice, Legal and Parliamentary Affairs in the National Assembly.
Mutodi who is believed to be a close ally of President Emmerson Mnangagwa, was once a deputy minister of information before he was fired in 2020.
The controversial politician was always at loggerheads with Minister and permanent secretary in the ministry who he accused of working against him.
