National Constitutional Assembly (NCA) leader Lovemore Madhuku has applauded 5000 people who voted for him and promised to build a strong Party.
Madhuku who was one of the 11 Presidential candidates in the 2023 general elections got 5 322 votes, which is about 0.1% of total vote cast.
Writing on his Twitter handle, Madhuku said he will forever respect the support.
“5322 voted for me in the just ended 2023 Presidential elections. They also voted for the NCA. I hereby thank them all for their support.
” I very much appreciate that support and will forever respect it. I am very much strengthened in the task of building a strong NCA. Thank you,” he said.
Madhuku and his party also contested in the 2018 general elections and performed badly.
He however made amends by joining POLAD, a group of losing Presidential candidates assembled by President Emmerson Mnangagwa.
