Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) is going to head seven (7) Parliamentary Portfolio Committees in the National Assembly.
Speaker of the National Assembly, Jacob Mudenda made the announcement.
‘’In terms of our proportionality in terms of the outcome of elections, Zanu PF is heading 15 Committees, while the opposition is heading 7 committees,’’ he said.
There are 22 Portfolio Committees in the First Session of the 10th Parliament of Zimbabwe.
Mudenda’s announcement follows the first meeting of the Committee on Standing Rules and Orders that took place yesterday at Parliament.

The Committee on Standing Rules and Orders is charged with supervising the administration of Parliament.
Parliamentary Portfolio Committees are committees that are set up to help Parliament carry out its oversight role. Each Portfolio Committee is responsible for overseeing a particular government ministry or department.
The Committees have a number of important duties, including examining the expenditure, administration, and policy of government departments, investigating matters of public interest and making recommendations to Parliament on how to improve government performance
Each Portfolio Committee is made up of members of the National Assembly (MPs) drawn from all the political parties that are represented in Parliament.
